For the last month and a half, I have had the honor and the privilege of getting to be a part of team Bread Breakers. One aspect of squad leading is getting the opportunity to spend intentional time with the different teams of h-squad. Typically, each time we change a country, us SQLs will change teams too. So, as we are nearing the end of our time in Costa Rica, I want to do a tribute to the beautiful group of ladies I had the pleasure of getting to know over the last several weeks.

Let me introduce you to the lovely ladies of Bread Breakers. Starting on the left we have Kaci (Queso is what we like to call her). She is a fierce and powerful woman of God who walks in SO MUCH humility, vulnerability and truth. She also makes me laugh a crap ton and has a true heart of gold. Victoria is a gentle and strong spirit who has the most tender love for Jesus. He really is her best friend and her love for him is so evident it brings me to tears. She walks in spiritual authority and so much empathy for others. Court is someone who brings so much laughter into the room. She is also a deep well who hears from the Lord in a powerful way and is one of the biggest encouragers I know! Jules truly is a JEWEL. She has a double portion of joy that overflows out of her and onto everyone she knows. She is an exhorter and a friend to everyone. Bre is an anointed shepherd who walks in wisdom and love. She cares for, empowers and uplifts those around her and truly views people through the eyes of the Father in the most tangible ways. Last but not least, we have Kel. Kelsey is a woman of prayer who brings sweet perspective and truth to just about any situation. She uses all of her many talents to love those around her and to serve the kingdom in such a pure way.

I don’t find it a coincidence that God hand placed me with team Bread Breakers this month. For starters, communion is one of my absolute FAVORITE things and something that the Lord continually brings me back to when I need to refocus and recenter myself on him. So it only is fitting that the Lord has had me come to the table with a team whose name represents something so near and dear to my heart.

Before I even knew which team God would place me with, He told me that I needed to share my testimony with the team I was with over a communion meal and worship. A few weeks ago, we did just that. This night was one of my favorite moments of the month as we broke bread on the beach, watched God’s majesty take the form of a sunset, and worship God reflecting on His goodness displayed in my life.

Take a look at team Bread Breakers theme verse which just so happens to be a verse I visit often with the Lord:

They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.  All the believers had everything in common.  They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.  Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.  They broke bread together and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people." - Acts 2:42-47

This team truly embodies the words in these verses. They come to the table each night (most of the time with chocolate cake or some other sweet tasting treat). They pray together. They have fun together. They talk about what they are learning and discovering about God. They generously give of their time and talents and encourage one another by speaking truth in love. And above all, they come together to give honor and glory and praise to God!

To the BBs, I love you all so very much and I have learned so many sweet things from you. Thanks for letting me get into your space and for your continued willingness to dive deeper into what God has for you. Keep coming to the table. Much love, sisters (:

Bready buddies, bready buddies, bready buddies, BREAK!
