Friends,

Hi, I’m Cami and welcome to my blog! As I am typing this I am chuckling to myself because I would have never thought that my name and the word “blog” would ever find themselves in the same sentence but, hey, God is full of surprises. So, here we are. In the posts to follow, you will read other surprises God so graciously hits me upside the head with. You will read about my journey. You will read about my struggles, my victories, my uncertainties, my hopes and dreams. You will read about my Jesus and the wonderful things that a relationship with Him leads to. For now, here are some things you must know about me before we head into this crazy adventure called the World Race.

I am a daughter. A daughter to the most wonderful parents that anyone could ask for.  My mom, Joy, has taught me what it means to passionately follow hard after Jesus and this passionate pursuit is one that can be so so so fun along the way. My dad, Perry, has taught me that life is best lived when you are loving Jesus and making memories. They have raised me to view myself as a different kind of daughter; a daughter of the Most High God.

  

 

I am a sister. A sister to the craziest big sister and funniest little brother. They are a worship powerhouse duo and their passion shakes the heavens.  Carley, standing 5’2, is one of the feistiest people I know and can probably beat up Mike Tyson. She is my prayer partner, my role model, she brings out all my crazy, and I know she always has my back. Perry is a gentle spirit in the scariest of storms. His worship is his warfare and just looking at him brings me peace. They are my best friends; the ones I can count on for anything. They are my ab workout; the laughs are continuous when we are together. They are my happy place and I wouldn’t trade them for anything.

   

 

I am a granddaughter, niece, and cousin to a family that no amount of words could truly describe. Italian, loud, hilarious, and a blast are a few that come close but not really. My family takes the “it takes a village to raise a child” phrase very seriously and I could not be more grateful for that.

   

   

 

 

 

I am a friend. God has blessed me with a group of amazing people who surround me with so many laughs and so much love. These people have caused me to grow in ways I never knew existed. They bring out my strengths and love me through my weaknesses. They have shown me what Christian community looks like and I am a better person because I know each of them.

    

I am lover of travel and adventure.

I am a lover of coffee.

I am a lover of games.

I am a lover of questions.

I am a lover of people.

I am a lover of Jesus.

I am God’s special possession. He is the reason why I am everything listed above. I am His bride, His friend, His servant, His daughter and the apple of His eye. He is my favorite. He is my foundation, my faithful friend, my first love, the answer to all of my questions and the reason behind everything I do. Nothing could ever come close to the love He has for me and the love I have for Him.

This is who I am. Who am I becoming? Well, that’s to be continued.
