Interested in knowing who I will be doing life with for the next year? Here’s a little bit about my squad, my team, and my leaders. Meet the fam!

Meet N Squad.

N squad is made up of 25 Jesus loving humans. These are the people that I will be traveling from country to country with. We wear the color red and represent it proudly. Being the smallest of the three squads launching in October, we are tiny but mighty. We spent training week living in our own tent city and depending on each other in new and exciting ways. After only 10 days, these people feel like family and I am so excited for all that God has in store for us. When I think about training week and all that we learned, one word keeps coming to mind; unity. Our passion for God is what has brought us together and it is that unity that drives us forward. As a squad we worshipped together. As a squad we prayed for one another. As a squad we encouraged and cheered one another on. We are stronger together.

Meet Team 'Fiercely Loved'.

About half way through training week our leaders divided N squad into 4 separate teams (squids is what we like to call them). During the race, when our squad arrives at a country, we will split off into our teams and each team will serve at a different host ministry in that particular country. It is this team that I will be doing day to day life with on the race. In the picture below, starting from the left, meet Jenny, Suze, AbbyLin, me, Brook, and Megan.  These women are amazing. Words can't express how thankful I am for them already. Over the course of my race, I will be talking more about each of these special ladies in depth but for now, trust me when I say they are great. If you would like to learn more about their stories to pray and support them, you can find their blogs on the left hand column of my home page. We chose the name Fiercely Loved because that is what we are. We are fierce. We are loved. We are fiercely loved. And we are on a mission to show the world that they are fiercely loved too.

Meet our fearless leaders.

You might be wondering if the World Race is sending us out alone to fend for ourselves for a year. The answer is no. We are supported by a team of leaders who are for us. They spent the training week pouring themselves into us and equipping us to go out and be lights. They will be our support system over the course of our race. So much love for them. Although there is more than 3 leaders for our squad, here are three of them. On the left, we have Fran. Ashley Francis is our squad mentor. She will be coming to the missions field every couple of months to debrief with our squad and she is our go-to person if we ever need anything on the field. She might be one of my favorite people on the earth and yes we have created a group of racers known as the franclub. Go Fran! Next to Fran, meet Doug and Kris. They are our squad coaches. I like to think of them as the mom and pop of our squad. They will also be flying out several times during the race to debrief with us. One night at training camp, they were sharing with us a revelation they got from the Lord as to what the N in N squad represented. They felt like N stands for New Wave of the Holy Spirit. I cannot wait to step into that new wave and having them to help us walk in that is so encouraging.

I get so giddy when I think about this family. I am expectant and excited to see all that God does through us this year!
